OCD
Break the obsession and compulsion cycle

OCD
OCD therapy, one planned step at a time
-
What OCD really is
Obsessive-compulsive disorder is more than liking things neat. It involves unwanted, distressing thoughts, images or urges, and the rituals, checking or reassurance you use to feel safe again. OCD often latches onto what you care about most.
-
Why the cycle tightens
A compulsion brings relief for a moment, then the doubt comes back louder. The cycle can eat hours of your day and leave you ashamed of thoughts that say nothing about who you are. It is treatable.
-
How we provide this care
We treat OCD with ERP, a form of CBT built for exactly this. Together you face the triggers gradually while practicing not doing the compulsion, so OCD loses its power, and ACT helps you make room for uncertainty. Sessions are available in person in West Valley City or online anywhere in Utah.
