About Katie

I believe that everyone can benefit from therapy. Being able to talk to someone objective and supportive, who is not attached to your everyday life, has real value: they can offer perspective on the things that were not clear to you.

I think of it the way I think about a broken car. You could watch a video and try to fix it yourself, or you could take it to someone trained to fix cars. Mental health is the same. Life has so many ups and downs, so why not get help from someone trained to help people through them?

I enjoy working alongside people while they are on their journey. I find joy in supporting people as they build self-love, work through traumatic hardships, and learn coping skills they can carry into whatever comes next.

On my own journey I have learned to value myself and the boundaries that protect my happiness. The things that feel hardest to say are often the ones I need to say. There is no growth in the comfort zone, so I keep choosing to be vulnerable, and looking after my physical health has become part of looking after my mental health. Above all, I have learned that if I can love and accept myself, I can keep learning and growing.

I also have to have fun, or all that work for betterment is for nothing. I love being around people and trying new things: binge-watching TV, playing intense games, working out at the gym, finding fun places to eat, and travelling to see more of what this world has to offer.
