PTSD
Help painful memories lose their grip

PTSD
PTSD therapy that treats the memory
-
What PTSD looks like
Post-traumatic stress disorder can follow a frightening or life-changing event: an accident, an assault, a loss, a medical emergency, or something you saw happen to someone else. The memory does not fade the way other memories do.
-
Why the alarm keeps going
PTSD is your brain trying to protect you from something that already happened. Left alone, it can take over your sleep, your relationships and your sense of safety. Trauma memories can be processed, and then they settle.
-
How we provide this care
Trauma is the heart of our practice, and our therapists are trauma-trained. We treat PTSD with EMDR and ART, which help the brain process what happened. Somatic techniques (i.e. breathwork and movement) settle a body still reacting, and ACT and DBT skills help you cope with trauma symptoms. Sessions are available in person in West Valley City or online anywhere in Utah.
